I've been adjusting my hydraulic disc brakes this afternoon, elixir 3’s, after fitting a new rear rotor. I've figured out how to set the rotor in the centre of the pads etc thanks to the joys of
What i can't figure out though is how to adjust the contact point of the pads, as my rear lever has massive travel, before it makes good contact. I've tried moving it away from the bars using the reach adjust, but the brake of course simply starts further away from the bars! Other elixir brakes have tool-free adjustment, but these ones don't, and my google/youtube searches turn up nothing useful that i can find.
Does anyone have any experience of these please?
Thanks
Steve
