Pranayam is a serial based on the novel of Manju Kapur partially. The name of the novel is Custody. Also Pranayam is an official remake of 'Ye Hai Mohabattein'.
It is also remade in Tamil due to the response from fans. The story revolves around Sharan, the role played by Srinish Arvind and Lakshmi, the role played by Ramya Shankar. Sharan is a divorcee and he is staying with his daughter Malu. He works as Chief Executive Officer on a multinational company. Lakshmi is a dentist by profession, settled in Kerala, basically from a Tamil Brahmin Family. Since she is sterial, it was difficult to find a suitable husband for her. She is neighbour to Sharan and becomes emotionally attached to his daughter Malu, who brings Sharan and Lakshmi closer. Eventually both get married. This beautiful love story has attracted the fans to the core that think the characters as their family.

Asianet is all set to launch their new prime time serial 'Pranayam' on 6th July 2015 at 07.00 PM. The serial is directed by Krishnan and produced by Sreesaran creations. This is the story of love, between two strangers. Hero is the CEO of a multinational company. Heroin Lakshmi, is dentist, who lives happily in Kerala. The actors Krishna Veni, Kumar, Melvin, Pream Shankar, and Veena Nair play the leading characters in this story. The story of the serial revolves round IT industry and the complex lives of employees out there. The show has already completed more than 278 episodes. In this show, the director tells the story of the IT professionals. Fawaz Zayani is an Indian actor, who is working in Tamil and Malayalam television industry. He was born on 21st June 1989 in Kerala. Fawaz Zayani made his acting debut in the Tamil television serial “Sakthi” along with Usha Sai, directed by Sadhasivam Perumal produced by S.Siddique.
